Bharti Singh Biography

Bharti Singh is a comedian from Amritsar, most popular with reality shows on Indian television. She is a stand-up comedian and actress in Hindi and Punjabi films. She appeared in Jubilee Comedy Circus, Comedy Circus Ke Taansen and Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur of Sony Television. She also appeared as a participant in Comedy Circus's 2010 series, Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars and Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo. Singh was the second runner-up of stand-up comedy reality series The Great Indian Laughter Challenge (Season 4) on STAR One. She has been paired with Siddarth Jadhav in Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur, Kahani Comedy Circus Ki and Comedy Circus Ke Ajoobe where both appeared as contestants. She has been paired with Paresh Ganatra & Sharad Kelkar in the comedy reality shows, Comedy Circus 3 Ka Tadka and Comedy Circus Maha-Sangram. She is better known for her stand-up act as a child artist, Lalli.

Bharti Singh was born in Amritsar. From childhood, Bharti dreamt to become a comedian. She is a sportsperson also and has been ranked in pistol shooting and archery at national level. But as she was a good mimic, she wanted to become a comedian. She has also given numerous stage shows India and abroad. She first appeared in reality talent hunt show on comedy, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge of Star One aired in 2008. It was one of the first shows on comedy on Indian television and she became the second runner up of the show. Till now, she has worked in slow pace and now one of the noted comedians of Indian television. Bharti Singh has been awarded as 2nd Runners Up in the “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge - 4”.

In 2012 she hosted the television show Sau Saal Cinema Ke. She has also performed in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5, but withdrew. She also holds numerous achievements as a performer. She has already completed 400 stage shows for Punjab Natsala and has won the National Level Youth Festival for BBK DAV College, Amritsar.
