Ashutosh Phatak Biography 
Ashutosh Phatak is an Indian musician and entrepreneur based in Mumbai. He plays multiple musical instruments, and is best known as one of the founding partners of live music chain blueFROG aside Dhruv Ghanekar, largely credited with revolutionising the live music scene in Mumbai city. He is also the co-founder of The True School of Music, and The Quarter. Blue Frog - Lower Parel is a 360 c/o which encompasses a State of the Art Live Performance Venue, Recording Studios, Label and Music Production C/o. He collaborated with Dhruv Ghanekar, a musician, in the 1990s and went on to become music-makers for ad films and alternative movies. They delivered over 3,000 projects delivered to date.
Ashutosh Phatak hails from Mumbai. He was born into a family which owned family business. During his school days at John Connon School, he formed an informal band with his school friends. Later he completed degree in Economics, with one subject as Western Classical Music Theory from the University of Pennsylvania. After completing his studies, he returned back to Mumbai, and joined family business. But he had only a short stint in business and he switched over to music in the 1990s. He owned a musical band which composed music for fashion shows, beauty contests etc in the second half of 1990s.
In collaboration with Dhruv Ghanekar, he worked in ad industry composing music for thousands of jingles, documentaries, TV serials etc. He also composed soundtracks for over 10 feature films, and also released over 15 contemporary music albums. His family is related to the well-known industrialist Agashe family of Maharashtra. The members of the family include industrialist and lawyer, Chandrashekhar Agashe, his son - Dnyaneshwar Agashe – a businessman, cricketer andcricket administrator and his grandsons - Mandar Agashe and Ashutosh Agashe, successful entrepreneurs.
