Arjit Taneja Biography

Arjit Taneja is a well-known television actor associated with Hindi entertainment industry. He made his television debut as an actor through the show - The Serial and was also seen in the youth oriented show on MTV - Mtv Splitsvilla 6. He also participated in Box Cricket League in 2014. He played the role of Bilal Khan in the recently ended show on Sony Television - Pyaar Ko Ho Jaane Do, and also did a cameo role in Bade Acche Lagte Hain. Currently he plays the role of Purab Khanna in the popular series, Kumkum Bhagya since 2014. He plays the parallel lead in this series, and Mrunal Thakur plays his female lead.

This popular actor was born in Delhi on 10 November 1992. His father is a lawyer. He has one elder sister. Brought up in Delhi in a joint family, he completed graduation in computer programming from University of Delhi. His modelling career began at the age of 18 in 2010, when he joined Elite Model Management India Pvt. Ltd. After a few modelling projects, he moved to Mumbai in 2012 after completing graduation, to pursue a career in entertainment industry. Same year he made his television debut through the show - V The Serial as Karan Kundra's best friend. He also participated in MTV Splitsvilla season 6 as a contestant.

After doing a cameo role in Bade Acche Lagte Hain, Kumkum Bhagya gave him the major break to acting in 2014. Arjit shares a great bonding with his cousin sisters on-screen, and in real life too he is close to his elder sister though they used to fight in their childhood days. His sister is happily married now.
