Arav Chowdhary Biography

Arav Choudhary is a popular television actor of Hindi entertainment industry. He is a model turned actor who studied acting from Hollywood Film Institute and completed graduation. He is former Mr. India. He has also played character roles in Bollywood films, the most notable ones being - "Dhoom", “Lakshya” and "Laado". As a television actor, he gained popularity playing the role of Bheeshma in the popular mythological series on Star Plus – Mahabharath. Playing Bhishma Pitamah was a learning experience for this versatile actor.  He was also noticed for playing the role of business tycoon Indrajeet in the daily soap - “Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon…Ek Baar Phir”.

Arav Choudhary is a former model who has achieved the title of Mr. India. He completed graduation in acting from Hollywood Film Institute in United States and returned to India. Then he decided to try his luck in film industry. Though he has been a part of many big budget films like "Dhoom", “Lakshya” etc, he gained popularity through television. The actor had to make a lot of preparations for the pivot role of Bhishma Pitamah in Mahabharath. He maintained good physique for the role and played both the younger and elder versions of Bhishma. It has been a good transition for him as an actor.

Though he earned stardom from mini screen, the actor is keen to take up small roles in Bollywood films also. He has done noted performances in Bollywood films - 88 Antop Hill, The Perfect Husband, Right Yaa Wrong, No Smoking, Family, The Deadly Disciple, Dhoom, Lakshya etc. The actor believes that though it’s claimed Bollywood runs on talents, it’s the commercial part and star value which actually counts, than the real potential of an actor. He played the role of Mangal Pandey in Ek Veer Stree ki Kahaani Jhansi Ki Rani and Raman in Gulal.
