Anu Joseph Biography

Anu Joseph is a Malayalam actress who predominantly works in television industry. She made her acting debut with National award winning film Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam in a supporting role. But later she switched to television and is currently a household name among Malayalam television viewers. The popular shows such as Minnukettu, Chakkarabharani and Karyam Nissraam made her a star of mini screen. She played the lead role of Satyabhama in Karyam Nissaram, the longest running serial on Kairali TV, which helped her a lot to gain popularity among the masses. ‘Minnukettu’ was the first serial to air about 1000+ episodes on Surya TV channel, and Anu was a part of this show as well.

Anu Joseph hails from Kasargod, Kerala. She is associated with entertainment industry since year 2000. She made her film acting debut with Meera Jasmine starrer Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam. 'Chitralekha' aired on Surya TV was her first TV soap and after that she has appeared in more than a dozen of TV soaps. Later she moved to hosting shows as well, and gained recognition in this field as well. Along with Anish Ravi she has hosted a series of successful shows on Surya TV such as Star War Season 1 and 2, Pookalam varavayi, Onam ponnonam, Deal Or No Deal, Onaradham, Don't do Don't do etc. They appeared together for the first time as contestants for the show, Sundari Niyum Sundaran Njanum on Asianet.

Started with small roles on television and big screen, later she became one of the most sought actresses of Malayalam small screen. Now she holds an inevitable presence on the small screen. She played a bold onscreen avatar as Sathyabhama in Karyam Nissaram and in real life too she has an independent personality and her own opinions. She is choosy over her projects and roles as well.
