Ankur Tewari Biography 
Ankur Tewari is a popular musician from Delhi. From a hotel trainee in Delhi to a filmmaker and musician, it was a 10-year long journey to release his first album in 2010. He is a musician, writer and actor all rolled into one, but he gives preference to his musical career. He set out his musical journey in 2000 fresh from college and was stubborn about his decision to release one private album.
He was born in Belgium. He was drawn to music at a very young age when his father brought him a guitar. Though his father arranged him a guitar teacher, Ankur couldn’t establish a good relationship with his master and their studies lasted for one week only. He used to bunk his guitar classes. Later Ankur decided to learn himself, and teach his guru a lesson. He completed his Hotel Management in Bhopal. During his ragging days, he escaped from his seniors by playing nice music and impressing them.
After the completion of his hotel management course, he worked at Taj Mansingh hotel in Delhi with a brief stint with dishwashing machine. But it didn’t last too long. After hearing a few bad remarks by hotel guests, he left the job and took decision to pursue as his career. Though he reached Mumbai, he couldn’t get any opportunity and moved back to Delhi. Since then he took rounds at music label offices during the day time. His stay in Delhi provided him opportunity to produce a couple of stage plays, art direct a major television series and also to work for a few radio jingles. He also produced a short film and curated an international film festival before he decided to go to Mumbai once more. Thus he diversified his tasks during his stay in Delhi.
He reached Mumbai in 2004, where he got opportunity to record a couple of songs for his friend. He also composed the songs, which gave him a major break to his music journey. He has rendered his voice for about 15 Bollywood songs till now. He has contributed in the roles of lyricist, composer as well as singer. He enacted the character of Dave in the academy winning movie – Slumdog Millionaire.
