Ankit Mohan Biography

Ankit Mohan is a popular actor associated with Hindi television industry. He is a model too. Ashwathama in Star Plus's mythological series - Mahabharat (2013) and of Aakash in Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya are the roles for which this actor is known most. Ghar Aaja Pardesi, Teri Meri Love Stories, Begusarai, Nagin 3, Baseraa and Shobha Somnath Ki are a few more roles in which he was seen. He made his debut in MTV Roadies (season 4) in 2006-2007 and has completed one decade in the industry. He also did cameo roles in Miley Jab Hum Tum and Namak Haraam before gaining foot in the entertainment industry.

Ankit Mohan hails from Chandini Chowk, Delhi. He schooled from National Public School and later completed his higher studies from University of Delhi. His foray to acting was unplanned. In fact he won a family business. He marked his television debut through MTV Roadies in 2006 and has appeared in more than 10 TV shows. He appeared the audition of the show at the age of 19, as suggested by one of his friends. He played the brief role of Flt Lt Ashfaq Hussain, Shahid’s best friend in Sonam Kapoor – Shahid Kapoor starrer Mausam in 2011. He was chosen from around 800 contestants. Kondaji Farzand is his recent film appearance.

The actor never plans anything and believes in going with the flow. His entry to television shows and acting too occurred the same way. After Roadies, he returned back to hometown with plans to settle with family business. However a friend Rannvijay Singh invited him to come back to Mumbai which he agreed. He went to Mumbai with a target of staying there for one month only. But soon, he saw that one month converting into two years, and he got permanently shifted there. During his struggling years in Mumbai he often had a second thought to go back to his family business. Yet he stayed here in Mumbai. He endorsed Citibank Delhi Metro and also did a Fanta ad with Genelia D'Souza.
