Anjjan Bhattacharya Biography

Anjjan Bhattacharya is an ace music composer associated with Bollywod, known for the chartbuster hits such as Baby Doll and Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan sung by Kanika Kapoor. He had a long association of more than 15 years with Meet Bros, Manmeet Singh and Harmeet Singh to form the successful trio of Bollywood - Meet Bros Anjjan, who delivered many instant chartbusters to Bollywood since 2010. Baby Doll of Ragini MMS 2 gave them instant fame and there was no turning back after that. However with mid-2015, Anjjan decided to part in good ways with the siblings to pursue a solo career in music. He feels he doesn’t get the credit he actually deserves. For the same reason he parted with the siblings during his career peak. The combo of the trio earlier gave a composite dish of varied tastes, similar to the well-established Shankar- Ehsaan-Loy.

They marked Bollywood debut with 2010 film - Isi Life Mein, where they composed all songs. The trio has given some smash hits to Bollywood. Mostly composing single peppy numbers to films, they have also worked for a few albums. For the last few years a trend has set in Bollywood to give one or two songs of a film album to Meet Bros, and they mostly compose fast tracks. Some of their popular songs are included in the films – Hate Story 2, Baaghi, Ragini MMS 2, Roy, Kick, Ek Paheli Leela, Boss, Do Dooni Chaar, Paan Singh Tomar, Zanjeer, Bhoothnath Returns, OMG!, Singh Is Bliing, Calendar Girls, Hate Story 3, Bhoothnath Returns and many more.

He is a Bengali who was born and brought up in Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh). Successfully completed 20 years in the music field, his early days were filled with a lot of struggles. During his early days, he scored a Hindi jingle for the HMV FM channel, when it was first launched in Kolkata. He met Meet Bros in the early 2000s. The three got connected through a concert and it was a remarkable turning point of his career. The rest as they say is history. The two Punjabis and Bengali formed a deadly combination. But the sad part is that he parted with his friends in July 2015, and the brothers too respected his decision. ‘Nachan Farrate’ from the film ‘All Is Well’ was their last work together.
