Akshita Kapoor Biography

Akshita Kapoor is a noted television actress of Hindi soaps, known for playing supporting and character roles.  "Tanu" in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and "Krishna Walia" in Kasamh Se made her a popular actress among Hindi television audience. Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein, Kitani Mohobbat Hai Kya Dill Mein Hai and Shaka Laka Boom Boom are other television series in which she has acted. In fact Akshita is known through the roles she played for Ekta Kapoor's soaps. Apart from a television actress, she is also known as a successful model.

Akshita started her career in the children oriented series on Star Plus - Shaka Laka Boom Boom in 2002. She was seen in a small role in the successful series. Star Plus’ Aek Chabhi Hai Padoss Mein in 2006 was her first break in the television soaps, which gave her an identity. Her supporting role as Sharmila Mehta in the series, gave her a major break to Balaji telefilms. The major break came in the form of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, one of the most successful television shows by Ekta Kapoor. She played the role of Tanu, the role by which she is still known in the industry.

After Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Ekta Kapoor gave her one more memorable show - Kasamh Se on Zee TV. She replaced Diya Sonecha for the character "Krishna Walia", which was a major success. Kasamh Se – is her best role up-to-date. She also played Antra, Arohi's sister in Kitani Mohabbat Hai on Imagine TV and disappeared from scene.  She is very close friend of actress Krystal d'souza in the television industry. She has one brother - Abhinav Kapoor. She currently resides in Mumbai.
