Akshay Anand Biography

Akshay Anand is a popular television actor, who has appeared in a few Bollywood movies as well. He played the lad child artist in the popular science fiction series of Doordarshan in the late 1980s – Indradanush. His Bollywood work was concentrated in the 1990s and slowly he moved to television, which made him immensely popular. He has played several character roles on small screen, particularly in ZEE TV network. Occasionally he appears on big screen and was last seen for Karan Johar’s venture – The student of the year. He currently plays the role of Pukhraj Singh in Zee Drama Serial - Do Saheliyaan.

He also appeared in one Malayalam movie – Mammootty starrer Indraprastam and a few other south Indian movies. He played the role of a budding actor opposite Simraan in this movie. Akshay has appeared in Bollywood movies - Pyaar Ka Tarana, Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, Agni Pankh, 23rd March 1931: Shaheed, Zakm, Gulaam, Daava, Tamanna, Ek Aur Prem Kahani etc.

Akshay Anand starred his acting career in the late 1980s with Doordarshan. He appeared in the science fiction TV series - Indradhanush (1989), playing the title role. The popular director of present times – Karan Johar also played a child artist in this television serial and it was one of the earliest fiction series on Indian television, which was indeed popular. Later he played many noted characters on Hindi serials on ZEE TV like Bandini, Basera, Suvreen Guggal - Topper Of The Year, Saat Phere, Kehta Hai Dil. Currently he appears in Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani, aired on ZEE TV and he portrays the role of Chandravadhan Singh Deo.
