Adoor Govindankutty Biography 
Adoor Govindankutty, simply called Govindankutty is a film actor and TV anchor associated with Malayalam entertainment industry. He is also a screenwriter, ad film maker and film director in the industry. As a film actor, he marked his debut with Anandabhadram in 2005. Heart Beats, Oneway Ticket, Nandhuni, 3 Char Sau Bees, Asuravithu, Spirit, Pranayakatha and Shyam are some of the supporting roles he played on Malayalam big screen. He played the role of Benoy, News TV cameraman in Mohanlal starrer Spirit in 2012. As a TV anchor, he is best known for Kairali’s youth oriented show, 'Students Only' for 8 years since its inception. He won FRAME award for best compere for this show in the year 2009.
Govindankutty hails from Adoor, Pathanamthitta district of Kerala. After completing his LLB graduation from Pandalam, he studied journalism at Press Club, Thiruvananthapuram. Later he went to New York Film Academy and California for advanced studies in films. His professional career began as a columnist with Manorama Weekly during his college days, and later joined acting stream. He anchored 'Students Only' campus show in Kairali TV since its inception, and the show gave him immense popularity and fame. He hosted more than 800 episodes for the show for 8 long years. He moved to New York for advanced studies after doing this popular campus show.
He moved back to India after the completion of the course, and started his new journey as a film actor. He played numerous supporting roles on Malayalam big screen. In 2010, he marked his directorial debut with 3 Char Sau Bees. He scripted the film too, and played one among the lead heroes. The movie also starred Kalabhavan Mani, Dhanya Mary Varghese, Salim Kumar and Jagathy Sreekumar. The movie flopped at box-office.
