Abhay Jodhpurkar is an Indian playback singer, lyricist and a bio-technologist. He came to limelight for the first time after singing the popular track "Moongil Thottam" for Tamil movie Kadal - one of the most anticipated movies of 2013. Music was rendered by renowned music composer Rahman and he sang this duet aside Harini. Like many young singers of today, he too is a discovery of Rahman, who promotes young and distinct voices.

He belongs to Indore, Madhya Pradesh and this young singer reached Chennai in the early 2010’s to pursue his studies. For time-pass he joined Rehman’s music institute. He has been associated with Rahman for a few Sufi albums and he has experience in Qawali for 2 years, before reaching film industry. Abhay is a bio-technologist who has completed the course from SRM University, Chennai. Rahman noticed him while singing for a sufi album and gave him the big break to film industry. The song, "Moongil Thottam" was a chartbuster. After that he recorded a few more songs for Rahman in his upcoming movies and are yet to get released.
