Sasha Agha Biography

Sasha Agha is an upcoming Pakistani actress and singer who made her Bollywood debut with 2013 movie, Aurangzeb. Though the movie was declared flop it received positive response from critics and Sasha’s performance also received praises. Sasha Agha is the daughter of Pakistani actress-singer, Salma Agha who is better known in Bollywood as the lead actress of B. R. Chopra’s Nikah released in 1982. Salma Agha is known for her distinct voice also and her songs of Nikah became huge hits that time. Pakistani squash player, Nasrullah Khan is her grandfather. Pakistani filmmaker, Javed Sheikh who has appeared in Bollywood movies like Jannat, Om Shanti Om and Namastey London is her step-father. Sasha’s upcoming movie is action –drama, Desi Kattey which also stars Sunil Shetty, Tia Bajpai and Jay Bhanushali.

Sasha was born in London on 1 January 1992. Her father Rehmat Khan is a squash coach and a former squash player from Pakistan. Her mother is famous singer-actress Salma Agha. But the marriage resulted in divorce. Her mother later married actor-filmmaker, Javed Sheikh which too resulted in divorce. Among her step-siblings, noted British singer Natasha Khan better known as Bat for Lashes is her half-sister. Pakistani squash players Jahangir Khan and Torsam Khan are her cousins. She is related to prestigious Kapoor family and Bollywood actors, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, and Ranbir Kapoor are her second cousins. Both her maternal grandparents were born in Amritsar and thus related to Kapoor's family, though Salma later got married to Pakistani squash player and got settled in London.

Sasha is the great- granddaughter of famous actor of 1930’s, Jugal Kishore Mehra and Punjabi actress Anwari Begum. Jugal Kishore Mehra is Raj Kapoor's maternal uncle and thus Sasha is related to Kapoor family. Sasha debut Bollywood opposite Arjun Kapoor and Prithviraj Sukumaran in 2013 action thriller, Aurangzeb. Sasha’s bikini shot for her debut Aurangzeb has got the tongues wagging and she has strong competitors from Bollywood itself.
