Sangita Ghosh is a popular actress of Indian small screen. She is a successful model, television anchor and has appeared in a few Bollywood movies as well. She is best known for the role of Pammi from Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand. Along with Shabbir Ahluwalia, she hosted the popular celebrity dance show, Nach baliye. Mehndi Tere Naam Ki, Virasat, Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara, Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand and Rabba Ishq Na Hove are her popular television shows. She has received ITA Award for Best Anchor, Indian Television Academy Awards 2013 for Best Onscreen Couple alongside Ruslaan Mumtaz and Newsmakers achievers award For Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara. She has received multiple nominations for best actress, though she has not been able to win any.

She has done a couple of films but unfortunately, they didn’t get released. Though known as a popular actress of small screen, she has never worked in any Saas-bahu type serials. In 2011, she got married to polo player Shailendra Singh Rajput in a private ceremony, without informing media. She had already taken a long break from the industry before marriage. Now she is back on television with 'Kehta Hai Dil... Jee Le Zara', after a self-imposed layoff of six years. She was last seen in 'Rabba Ishq Na Hove' and 'Viraasat'. She was casted opposite young actor, Ruslaan Mumtaz in her comeback serial and the Jodi got well appreciated by audience.

She was born in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh in 1976. She made her acting debut as a child artist with a serial called Hum Hindustani, when she was only 10 year old. She returned back to small screen after finishing her studies and became active since 1996.
