Kiran Karmarkar Biography 
Kiran Karmarkar is a well known Indian actor of theatre, television and movies. Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii of Star Plus, aired during 2000-2008 made him a popular television personality. He is an active personality of Marathi theatre and as a Bollywood film actor, his noted roles include – Rajneethi, Thoda Tum Badlo Thoda Hum, Pankh, Just married, Chakravyuh and Shangai. He has won Maharashtra State Film Award for his role played in Marathi film, Kshanokshani. He is equally verse in positive roles as well as negative ones. Karmarkar is married to actress Rinku Dhawan. Surprisingly Karmarkar and Rinku played sibling roles in their most popular serial, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii.
Karmarkar started his acting career through Marathi theatre. Later he appeared in small roles in Indian television as well as television commercials. He appeared in popular Doordarshan serial in the late 1990’s – Itihaas. Ghar Ek Mandir and Padosan are a few other bit roles. His real break to television industry came with Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii aired on Star Plus in 2000. His role as Om Agarwal in this successful TV series made him a popular actor. He was paired opposite actress Sakshi Tanwar and he left the series when the character ‘Om Agarwal’ was killed. Surprisingly his character was reloaded once again in the same script in 2007.
Kiran’s other popular television roles include - Thodi Si Zameen Thoda Sa Aasmaan, Kehna hai mujhko, Kahaani Hamaaray Mahaabhaarat Ki, Saarathi, Badalte Rishton Ki Daastan, Utharan and Zindagi Kahe – Smile Please. He did the role of a business tycoon in Saarathi and negative role in Utharan. He has also appeared in a few Marathi movies like Aagat, Aarohi Gosht Tighanchi, Pune 52 and Kshanokshani. His theatre plays include - Salim Aarif, Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai...!, Shaadi Ki Home Delivery, Kache daage, Humsafar and Merra Naam Joker.
