Chahat Khanna Biography

Chahat Khanna is a noted television actress, best known for the role of Ayesha Kapoor in the famous television soap on Sony television – Bade Ache lagte hain. She has also acted in a few Bollywood movies in supporting roles. 7½ Phere in 2005 was her first break to Bollywood. Later she appeared in movies like Ek Main Ek Tum, The film, Thank you etc. In February 2013, she married her boyfriend, Farhan Mirza. Soon after her marriage, she quit the popular show, Bade Ache lagte hain. She was unhappy with the way her character turns negative and she was not interested in playing a mother's role as well. She was replaced by Akanksha Juneja.

She was born in Mumbai in 1986. Her acting career started at a young age of 16. She also appeared in several television ads during the same period. Cadburys, with ad film maker Pradeep Sarkar was her first commercial ad, shot in the year 2002. Same year she made her television entry through Sachi Baat Sabhi Jag Jane. In 2005 she made her Bollywood debut through 7½ Phere. She played the role of Piya S. Joshi in the movie and the leading star cast included Juhi Chawla and Irrfan Khan. The thriller ‘The Film’ was also released the same year.

In between, she became active in small screen and appeared in several television serials like Kumkum - Pyara Sa Bandhan, Kaajjal... Sabbki Aankhon Mein Basi, Baa Bahoo Aur Baby, Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna and Hero Bhakti Hi Shakti Hai. She played female lead in 2006-2007 Kaajjal... Sabbki Aankhon Mein Basi, aired on Sony TV. She was paired opposite popular actor Apoorva Agnihotri.
