Bhushan Kumar Biography

Bhushan Kumar is Chairman and Managing Director of Super Cassettes Industries Limited, known as T-Series. He is the son of Gulshan Kumar who completely dominated music industry in the early 1990’s and has been instrumental in introducing great names like Nadeem Shravan, Kumar Sanu and Anuradha Paudwal to the industry. Bhushan has now ventured into production field and has produced successful movies like Aashique 2 (sequel of 1990 hit film of T-series, Aashique), Nautanki Saala and most recently, Yariyan directed by his beloved wife, Divya Khosla Kumar who is a former actress of Bollywood. Bhushan’s sister Tulsi Kumar is also a successful playback singer of the industry.

Bhushan Kumar was born in Delhi to Gulshan Kumar and Sudesh Kumari. Gulshan Kumar was the founder and owner of music company, T-Series. Kumar married Divya Khosla Kumar in February 2005 at the Maa Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra. In 2011, they got a baby boy. Most recently Divya entered film direction with the movie Yaariyan released in January 2014.

Following the murder of his father in 1997, Bhushan took control of music company T-Series. He went on to become the Chairman and Managing Director of the music company and continued with his father’s mission. Kumar diversified the company's business into electronics, CDs, audio/video tapes and cassettes, and film production. He was honoured by the Government of India's Electronics and Software Export Promotion Council for his efforts to popularize Indian music abroad. Now, T-Series is one of the most successful music companies of India. Music of Top two chartbuster movies of the year 2013, Aashique 2 and Yeh Jawani hai Diwani were released by T-Series. All is Well, Roy and Bhootnath 2 are the upcoming music albums coming under this banner.
