Divya Khosla Kumar Biography

Divya Khosla is an actress, producer and director. She made her debut as a director through college romance movie called ‘Yaariyan’. She is married to Bhushan Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Super Cassettes Industries Limited, known as T-Series, son of famous Gulshan Kumar. She is the co-producer of upcoming movie, Roy – a love triangle starring Ranbir Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal in lead roles. She played lead heroine role in Amitabh Bachchan starrer military film, Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo (2004), which marked her debut in Bollywood. Same year she appeared in Love Today.

She was born in Delhi on 27 November 1981. She entered Bollywood as the heroine of Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo (2004) directed by Anil Sharma of Gaddar fame. Despite being a huge star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Sandali Sinha and Nagma the movie failed at box office and received bad reviews from critics. Meanwhile Divya did a course in cinematography and editing. Then she did a few ad films as well as music videos in the role of a director. She has shot videos for Agam Nigam, Jermaine Jackson and Tulsi Kumar (her sister-in-law). She shot 20 music videos before entering direction field. She also choreographed a few Bollywood songs for the movies, Baarish, Maa, Love Me Thoda Aur, Allah Wariya and Zor Lagake.

She debut film direction through the movie, Yaariyan that released in January 2014. The movie stars a set of new generation actors - Himansh Kohli, Serah Singh, Dev Sharma, Rakul Preet Singh and Nicole Faria. DivyaKhosla married Bhushan Kumar in 2005 at the Maa Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra and the couple has one son.
