Ali Asgar Biography

Ali Asgar is an Indian television actor and film actor. He appears in comic and supporting roles in movies as well as television. He is an entertainer and he along with Kashif Khan was the winner of the Comedy Circus 1. He has also appeared aside Kapil Sharma in ‘Comedy circus ke taansen’. He is an amazing performer on stage as a comedian and is one of the well established names of entertainment industry. In the late 1990’s, he appeared in Doordarshan and DD Metro music countdown programs and comedy shows, where he used to carry the character name, Sachin and imitate master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. His mannerisms and height also resemble India’s Little Master a lot!

Ali Asgar started his television career at a younger age. He was one among the troupe of kids to perform in children's program called "Ek Do Teen Char" on Doordarshan in mid-late 1980s. During late 1990’s he landed with adult roles, mostly of comic type. Later he appeared in supporting roles in soap operas like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kutumb and Ghar ki baat hai. He played the lead role in Jeannie Aur Juju of SAB TV. Now he appears in the role of grandmother in the entertainment comedy show of Colors, Comedy Nights with Kapil. As a celebrity contestant, he has participated in television shows like Zara Nachke Dikha 1, Comedy Circus 1 and Comedy Circus Ke Taansen, where he emerged as the winner of Comedy Circus 1 and Comedy Circus Ke Taansen. F.I.R is one of the successful comic serials of this actor. He played lead role of Police Officer aside Purbi Joshi.

As a film actor, supporting role in 2002 hit, Dil vil pyar vyar needs special mention. He has also acted in Agneepath, Hum Ho Gaye Aapke, Do not disturb, Jeena Sirf Merre Liye, Chamatkaar, Karzz, Kartavya, Parampara, Aap Mujhe Achche Lagne Lage, Tees maar Khan, Partner and Gambler.
