Mashobra is a small town located near Shimla at an elevation of 2150 meters above the sea level. The Hindustan Tibet Road connecting Mashobra and Shimla was built by Lord Dalhousie in 1850.

 

The serenity of the place and the cool and charming climate will make it a paradise on earth. This is a portion of the Reserve Forest Sanctuary of Shimla. The trees commonly found here are pine, oak, cedar, deodar, maple and horse chestnut and the animals in the wildlife are jackals, barking deer, leopard and many species of birds like chikor, partridges and pheasants.
