As you go past the Scandal Point towards the General Post Office you will notice Kali Bari Temple. This is shrines the idol of Goddess Shyamala. The temple was built in 1845 by Bengali devotees and is a notable religious place in India.

 

Kali Bari Temple was originally located on the Jakhu Hill and was later brought to the area close to the Mall. The temple is flocked by people during the times of Navratri festivals and Pooja holidays.
