The name Annandale was given by Captain Charles Pratt Kennedy. Anna was the lover of his childhood days and Dale means valley. He combined them and called it as Annadale and this later became Annandale.

It is also the place of horse races, football tournaments and for playing the game of croquet. Fairs, get together parties and other outdoor parties are also conducted here.
