Nehru Planetarium at Mumbai was established on 3rd March 1977. This is a center of scientific study and astronomy where discussions and lectures on science are held periodically. During solar and lunar eclipses and other such events special arrangements are made here to enable the public to watch them.
There is a mobile Mini Planetarium which is taken out to rural places for show projection. The stars and wonders of the universe shows are held four times a day here in various languages. The giant size color pictures of galaxy are displayed in the exhibition hall. The science kits, telescopes and models are sold in the stall here.
