Sundernagar is famous for its Mahamaya Temple dedicated to the mother goddess. Thousands of people visit this temple every year. There is a beautiful garden here named Sukhdev Vatika and it is at this place, the biggest Hydel Project of Asia, the Beas Sutlej Hydro Electric Project is situated. There is a manmade lake at this point which was used to store the water of River Beas. Haateswari Temple is another temple located closer to this place.
