Rewalsar Lake is in the shape of a square and is the holy place of Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists. The pristine beauty of the water, high woodlands around it and the green atmosphere add colour to it. Three Buddhist monasteries called Tso Pema are located here. There are also three Hindu temples at this place dedicated to Lord Shiva, Lord Krishna and sage Lomas. Above Rewalsar lies another holy lake called Kunt Bhyog. The lake is famous for its islands of floating reeds. It is believed that the spirit of Padmasambhava reside in them. It is the holy place of Sikhs as their Guru Gobind Singh resided here for one month. The Baisakhi festival and the Sisu fair are held here in grand manner.
