Kazimar Big Mosque or Kazimar PEriya Pallivasal is a famous mosque in Madurai located near Periyar Central Bus Stand. It is said that this was first constructed by Hazrat Kazi Syed Tajuddin who came to India from Oman in 13^th century. 2500 people can worship here at a time. Madurai Maqbara dargah is located within its premises. Also the Hazrat Kazi Syed Tajuddin Arabic Madrasah is situated within its campus.
