Kedareswar Temple is also known as Kedargauri Temple and the presiding deity is Lord Shiva. In this south facing temple, there is no linga in the yonipitha made of sandstone. There is a story behind the construction of this temple. There lived a man named Kedar and a woman named Gouri who loved each other. As their love was not accepted by the villagers, they fled with a decision to marry. The man was killed by a tiger and so the woman committed suicide jumping into a pond. The king of that place hearing this story built this temple in their memory. So this temple remains a favorite place of worship for the lovers who want to enter into wedlock without any obstacles.
