Vijay Bedi Biography 
Vijay Bedi is a wildlife photographer and documentary filmmaker belonging to the third generation of wildlife film makers and photographers from the Bedi family. His father Naresh Bedi, a member of second generation of photographers is a recipient of numerous Indian and international honours including Padma Shri, and his grandfather Ramesh Bedi was a wildlife photographer and author of 74 books on this subject. His paternal uncle Rajesh Bedi also belongs to the same category. He closely worked with Vijay’s father for many projects and the duo has authored one book on wildlife - Wild Wonders. Vijay Bedi is also a successful wildlife photographer of present day generation who has worked with various national and international channels. He has also done several documentary films on wild life.
Vijay Bedi hails from a family of wildlife photographers and documentary filmmakers, and belongs to the third generation who is associated with both these fields. Born as the son of acclaimed wildlife photographer Naresh Bedi, his twin brother Ajay Bedi is also associated with the same field. The duo has worked together for many projects since young, and they are the youngest Asians to have won the Green Oscar for their documentary film – The Policing Langur. They also received a nomination at the television highest awards at Emmy Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the only Indians to receive this honour.
As a filmmaker he is best known for the documentary film, The Policing Langur, which he made aside his brother in 2009. The brothers have made numerous documentary films based on wild life. Vijay has a brief stint with cinema world as well. He worked as an assistant for Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding and many more movies. Many of his films were funded by leading TV channels of the country.
