Tej Pratap Yadav Biography

Tej Pratap Yadav is a politician associated with Rashtriya Janata Dal of Bihar. He belongs to a very famous political family of Bihar. He is the son of well-known politician and former cabinet minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi. Born into a strong political family, his siblings too are associated with politics. Her siblings – Misha Bharti and Tejashwi Yadav, and brother-in-law Tej Pratap Singh Yadav too are prominent names in state and national level politics. His mother Rabri Devi has remained as Bihar chief minister, while his father, Lalu Prasad Yadav is known for his state & national level politics and linked with a few scams. His elder sister Misa is currently a member of Rajya Sabha.

Tejashwi Yadav hails from the most prominent political family of Bihar. He was born to former Bihar chief ministers, Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabri Devi. He was born in 1986 in Gopalganj, Bihar. He is married to Aishwarya Rai, the granddaughter of former Chief Minister of Bihar Daroga Prasad Rai since 2018. Currently he serves as an MLA in state assembly. In 2017, a case of corruption has been registered by CBI against Yadav family.

His younger brother Tejashwi Yadav is also an MLA of state assembly, who served as Deputy CM during Nov 2015 till July 2017. At the same time, Tejashwi Yadav too served the position of a cabinet minister in Nitish Kumar's government, despite having no experience in the field. In 2017, he came to spotlight for the bad remarks against present Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He threatened to ‘skin’ PM Modi after Lalu’s Z+ security was withdrawn.
