Suhel Seth Biography

Suhel Seth is an Indian author from West Bengal. He is one of India's most admired marketing and management gurus and a highly-regarded columnist.  He is a co-founder of the consultancy firm Counselage India and currently serves as its managing partner. He has close links with some of the leading ad agencies across India, where he has worked or associated before. Response, Ogilvy & Mather and Equus are among the ad agencies for which he worked. He is the founder of Equus. He published the book - Get to the Top: The Ten Rules for Social Success (2011). Apart from his stint with ad agencies and writing he has also done a few brief roles in Bollywood films.

As a film actor he was first seen in Bollywood film Rog, released in 2005. He played the role of Harsh in the film. As an actor he gained recognition for the first time playing the role of Dr. Nayak in 2010 Sanjay leela bhansali film, Guzaarish, co-starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai. He was later seen in Bollywood films - Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara as Natasha’s father and Calendar Girls as Kumar Kukreja. He is also known to be a socialite and TV media person who regularly appears for TV shows.

Suhel Seth is famous for slamming people on social media for the incorrect use of grammar. Most recently in 2018, he pointed out a simple typo error in Shashi Tharoor’s tweet post, and tweeter uses celebrate the eve. He is known for his forthright views and he appears regularly on television shows. Suhel has done over 135 plays in English, and was voted as the Best Theatre Actor by Khushwant Singh. He is of Punjabi origin, born and raised in Calcutta, West Bengal. Currently he lives in Delhi.
