Ravinder Singh is a young English writer from Kolkata, best known for his book - I Too Had a Love Story, inspired from his own love story. His girlfriend died in 2007 and this book was written about their love story. “Can Love Happen Twice” and "Like it happened yesterday" are his other published works and both these novels were well-received also. - I Too Had a Love Story and Can Love Happen Twice – both the romantic novels had been bestsellers.

Singh was born into a Sikh family in Kolkata in 1982. His childhood days were spent in Burla in Odisha where he completed his schooling. He completed Engineering in IT from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Karnataka. Then he started his professional career as an IT engineer at Infosys Technologies, Bhubaneshwar where he worked for five years. He also completed an MBA from Indian School of Business in Hyderabad, after the completion of his first novel. Later he worked in Microsoft and working as senior manager when he decided to completely dedicate his time to writing.

He met his girlfriend on a matrimonial website. Before they got engaged, the girl passed away and this incident prompted him to pour his mental agonies to sheets of papers and thus, I Too Had a Love Story was born. It was an intensely personal, albeit fictionalised account, of his tragic love life and he wrote this book while working in Infosys. The book received well by readers and he published two more books. He released its audio version in 2011. The book has been translated to Kannada language. He is married to Khushboo Chauhan.
