Priyanka Barve Biography 
Priyanka Barve is an upcoming actress and singer of Bollywood, and theatre artist too. She has done playback singing for Hindi, Marathi and a few regional language films. She played Anarkali with acclaimed director Feroz Abbas Khan’s Hindi expensive theatre project, Mughal-e-Azam (musical) based on the epic film with the same name. She played the lead role of Anarkali, along with Neha Sargam alternatively in this musical released in 2016. It was the first large-scale Indian Broadway-style musical, was well received by critics in the media and entertainment industry and received seven out of the fourteen BroadwayWorld India Awards. She acts and sings for theatre productions.
Priyanka Barve hails from Pune, Maharashtra. She belongs to a musical family and followed the same tradition. Her grandparents Padmakar and Malati Pande-Barve were great Hindustani musicians, who guided Priyanka since young to groom her career. She received training from her grandmother. Priyanka dreams to pursue a career both in acting and singing. Already she has sung many hit songs in Marathi cinema. She also sings for Marathi Theater productions and TV shows too. Her video singles "Patch Up", "Premala", and "Tuzyasave tuzyavina" also received good responses.
As an actress she is best known for Broadway-style musical Mughal-E-Azam. Since the lead actresses had to both sing and dance simultaneously, two actresses — Neha Sargam and Priyanka Barve — played the part of Anarkali alternatively. From Manish Malhotra’s costumes to mind boggling sets, Feroz Abbas Khan’s magical musical was a huge hit. For the audition of the show, she sang and performed the iconic ‘Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya’ song of the movie, Mughal-E-Azam. She got selected and as a part of the preparation of her role, she attended yoga classes, and followed acting rehearsals and Urdu classes.
