Prashant Kishor Biography

Prashant Kishor is a well-known political strategist of the country. He is credited to revolutionizing Election Campaigning in India. He is best known for his association with Narendra Modi and his election campaigns in Gujarat, which helped him to get elected for CM, for the third time in state assembly elections, followed by the huge marginal win of Bharatiya Janata Party in 2014 Lok Sabha elections. BJP almost swept away the important centres during general election, marking one of the biggest wins in the history of Indian politics. As per latest biz in September 2018, the poll strategist may contest the upcoming Lok Sabha election from Buxar, his home constituency, representing Janata Dal (United).

Prashant was born in the year 1977. His father is a doctor, who worked in government sector in Bihar. His mother hails from UP and is a homemaker. His wife Jahnavi Das is a doctor, and she hails from Guwahati, Assam. The couple has one son. Though Prasanth has never been a part of any political organization or activities, he became one of the most trusted and powerful strategists in the Modi Organisation, and his role in building a good image about Narendra Modi among the masses, make him a leading political strategist of present-day politics. He is often addressed as ‘Election Guru’.

Kishor conceptualized Citizens for Accountable Governance (CAG) in 2013, described as India's first political action committee, just before 2014 election campaigns started. The NGO included some very talented young professionals who studied from leading colleges of the country. And Kishor led the team in formulating an innovative marketing & advertising campaign for Narendra Modi. Kishor broke up with Modi after his proposal to convert CAG, into a specialist policy outfit, I-PAC, was refused.
