Pailla Shekar Reddy Biography

Pailla Shekar Reddy is a well-known politician from the newly formed south Indian state Telangana. He is currently a Member of Telangana Legislative Assembly representing the constituency, Bhongir of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district. A member of Telangana Rashtra Samithi, he is a member of its politburo also. He was a real estate developer and builder in Hyderabad and Bangalore, prior to his entry in politics. He holds a civil engineering diploma.

Pailla Shekar Reddy was born in 1968 in Nancharpet village, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, present day Telangana. He belongs to an agricultural family. His father Pailla Ram Reddy was a farmer. He holds a Diploma in Civil engineering, SES SN Murthy Polytechnic College, Khammam. After studies he entered into real estate field as a developer and his work was concentrated in Hyderabad and Bangalore. He worked as a civil engineer. He is married and has two children.

He joined active politics in 2014, when Telangana movement was gaining strength and he became a member of Telangana Rashtra Samithi as well. He contested state assembly elections in 2014 as a candidate from Bhongir constituency and won the elections. It’s his maiden term as an MLA. He defeated Jitta Balakrishna Reddy of YTP by 15,416 votes.

Apart from politics he is a popular leader for his philanthropic activities. He provided clean drinking water system across Nalgonda district, which gained him popularity among the voters. He also sanctioned Bunadigani canal, which has been pending since 2004. He is quite active in social circle associated with social activities, and social network sites too.
