P. P. Chaudhary Biography

P. P. Chaudhary is a prominent Indian politician associated with Bharatiya Janata party, and currently a parliamentarian too. He got elected to Lok Sabha in 2014 general elections representing BJP, and currently serves as a minister in the central government led by Narendra Modi. He serves the position of Union Minister of State for the Law and Justice and the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Before the reshuffle he served as Minister of State for Corporate Affairs. He earlier served as chairperson of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Offices of Profit, and has held various administrative positions for different national committees. He won 2014 general elections from Pali with a victory margin of over 4,00,000 votes.

P. P. Chaudhary was born on 12 July 1953 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Prabhu Ram Chaudhary and Dhaku Devi are his parents. He is married to Veenapani Chaudhary, and the couple has two children. His wife is very active in the field of women empowerment and girl education. He belonged to an agricultural family and used to farm with his father on his family land. Before becoming a Member of Parliament, or a Minister, he was a highly successful advocate. He has been associated with this position for 38 years and was a senior advocate practicing in High Courts and Supreme Court. He also worked for the causes of farmers, in the role of a lawyer as well as politician.

As a parliamentarian and union minister, he is currently actively involved in getting innumerable farmers justice. He also works in improving & uplifting the status of women in his Pali Lok Sabha constituency as well as the entire State of Rajasthan. He has been associated with activities such as eye camps, rural development programmes and sports competitions. He has also held the roles of Chairperson of the Joint Parliamentary Committee on Offices of Profit, and a Member of many other important Committees.
