Nadendla Bhaskara Rao Biography 
Nadendla Bhaskara Rao, shortly called N. Bhaskara Rao is a foremost Congress politician from Andhra Pradesh. This veteran congress leader served as the 11th chief minister of the state for a brief period of 1 month during 16 August 1984 – 16 September 1984. He was succeeded by N.T. Rama Rao. He is the short-lived CM in the history of Andhra Pradesh, who served this position for just 31 days. He was also a parliamentarian who represented Khammam during 10 March 1998 – 26 April 1999. His son Nadendla Manohar is also a successful politician and former MLA and speaker from Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly. He was a lawyer by profession before he turned active in politics.
N. Bhaskara Rao was born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh on 23 June 1936. He graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad, and completed his law studies. He was a lawyer by profession who joined active politics in the late 1970s. He got elected to state assembly for the first time in 1978 representing Indian National Congress and was appointed as Minister of state in Chenna Reddy's cabinet. He joined N. T. Rama Rao in 1983, and supported for the formation of Telugu Desam party.
In 1983 state assembly elections, NTR came into power with the newly formed Telugu Desam party and N. Bhaskara Rao also became a permanent party member. He was appointed as Finance minister in NTR’s cabinet. When NTR was away in the US to undergo angiogram, he briefly served as CM of Andhra Pradesh in his absence. Once he returned back, NTR took over the power as CM. Thus Bhaskara Rao holds the record of Short-lived CM within the state. In 1998 he got elected to lok Sabha from Khammam Constituency, and is still active in politics.
