Johny M. L Biography 
Johny M. L is a culture critic, art curator and writer from Kerala. Currently he is based in Delhi. As a curator he has 2 decades of experience in this field. He has also authored several books, mostly belonging to non-fiction category which include – collection of essays, biographies etc. He also translated many international literal works into Malayalam, and has directed three documentaries on artists - On Jeram Patel, On N.N.Rimzon and On Sanjeev Sinha. He is an art historian, art critic, an editor of art magazines, poet and a prolific blogger. He regularly writes on arts, culture and politics subjects, and his articles appear in several print magazines like Creative Mind, Art Illustrated, newspapers and weeklies in English and in Malayalam.
Johny Mulluvilakom Lakshmanan was born on 21 March 1969 in Vakkom, Kerala. He hails from Thiruvananthapuram district. He completed his early education from Thiruvananthapuram and took a Master’s degree from University of Kerala, after which he took post-graduation degrees from Goldsmiths College, University of London and MS University, Baroda. He has three post graduate degrees in Creative Curating, Art History and Criticism, and English Language and Literature. He is currently associated with different forms of publications as a columnist and editor and has also founded many online art journals.
He started blogging in 2008 and has completed one decade in this field. Currently he is busy with his profession as an art curator apart from regularly writing for Stance Magazine and naradanews.com. He was the chief curator of the first edition of United Art Fair held in 2012, and he curated many shows later. He has translated thirteen books so far.
