Indrani (photographer) Biography 
Indrani Pal Chaudhuri, shortly called Indrani is an internationally recognized Indo- Canadian-British director, photographer, and digital artist. Many of her works including photographs and films have gained global attention and have helped her to win several awards. She has been appreciated worldwide for her extensive work on social causes and her video and stills campaigns.
Indrani was born into a traditional family of Kolkata and her childhood was spent in a ruined big palace. Her mother was a British, volunteer who worked with Mother Teresa. Indrani started her international modelling career at the age of 14, an opportunity which helped her to learn photography and films with artists around the world. At the age of 18 she returned to India with an aim to work for charity, aiming better future for girls. In 2001 Indrani graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Anthropology, with honours. While studying there, her art talents were identified by David Bowie who commissioned her first work. She shot the covers for the book I am Iman, and her work was recognized.
She met the Swiss classical harpist Markus Klinko in 1995 and duo teamed up, later came to be known as a fashion photography duo. Indrani in her life time has done over 20 exhibitions in mnay parts of the world. Since 2011, she has been associated with motion pictures and she has excelled in this field as well, similar to photography. Her first video was ‘Keep a Child Alive’ – for AIDS campaign in India and Africa which won two gold lions at Cannes in 2011. She also shot a documentary - Nothing But Nets featuring actress Mandy Moore. She shot "Girl Rising India" a documentary film for girls' empowerment with top 8 Bollywood heroines in 2015.
