Haleem Khan Biography 
Haleem Khan is a Kuchipudi dancer and film actor from Andhra Pradesh. He plays supporting roles in movies. Khan is known for bringing uniqueness to his performances as he dresses in woman attire, and portrays female characters on stage, where he specializes in Rupanurupam (female impersonation). As of now Haleem has performed more than 800 dance shows across the world. Known for promoting the art form across the globe, regularly conducts workshops also.
Haleem Khan hails from a Muslim family of Andhra Pradesh. Because of this he faced a lot of difficulties in learning this art. He was 16 year old when he decided to learn Kuchipudi. He had just completed his high school in Ongole in Prakasam district when he made this decision. He made it without the knowledge of his family. Initially he used the stage name ‘Hari’ and his portrayal of female characters on stage earned him popularity and numerous awards. His passion towards Kuchipudi was spotted by Kaza Venkata Subramanyam who gave him formal education in this art form. He quit his job as an IT recruiter in 2009 to pursue a career in the field of Kuchipudi.
Apart from choreographing traditional pieces, he also innovates the art by using poetry and music in languages such as English and Urdu. He can perform both Siva’s Thandavam and romantic woman on stage, and has donned performing woman characters on stage. He marked his film debut in 2011. Ame Atadaite, Srinilayam, Nuvvila, Prema gima janta nai, Action 3D, Adavi Kachina Vennela, Saradaga Ammayitho and Nuvvu nenu okatavdam are some of his film appearances. Haleem has now become a well-known figure in Hyderabad's cultural circuit.
