Deepa Jayakumar

The only introduction of Deepa Jayakumar is being the niece of Amma. Both of her parents are now dead. In fact, Deepa is the daughter of Jayakumar, the brother of Jayalalitha.

Professionally, Deepa is a researcher in media and communication and currently settled in the UK. Jayakumar used to live with Jayalalitha in her Poes Garden home in Chennai. However, due to some serious differences, Jayakumar moved out of Poes Garden home. It should be noted that Deepa was born at the home of Jayalalitha. It is said that Jayakumar wanted Jayalalitha to launch him politically which was denied and hence he got miffed with the then AIADMK supremo. Some reports claim that the real reason was the grand marriage of the foster son of Jayalalitha Mr. Sudhakaran in 1995.  Jayakumar died soon after at his T Nagar house in 1995. Jayalalitha had visited the family at that time. After that, she never went to their home. Deepa’s mother Vijaya Laxmi died in 2013. At that time, Jayalalitha had just made a call and requested Deepa and her brother to be strong. Deepa has one younger brother named Deepak who has done MBA from the USA and currently involved in the real estate business. It should be noted that Deepak was present during the burial of the mortal remains of Jayalalitha. He along with Shashikala performed the last rites. It means Deepa was denied to even get close to Jayalalitha body, her brother was not only allowed, but was a prominent face. Deepa got married in 2014 with Madhvan.
