C. N. Ashwath Narayan Biography

C. N. Ashwath Narayan is an Indian politician from the state of Karnataka. He belongs to Bharatiya Janata Party, and currently serves as MLA of Malleshwaram since 2008. He is a prominent politician within state politics, who has held some of the elite political positions over the past two decade or so. He has previously served as the Vice President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Bangalore District. He is a doctor by profession. Narayan has enabled introduction of Health Insurance schemes, Pension scheme for Widows, Handicaps and Senior Citizens, Waste Recycle, health sanitation, Gymnasiums and Aerobics Centres, and many such provisions related to health/life style sector.

C. N. Ashwathnarayan was born in Bangalore in the year 1969. T. K. Narayanappa and V. L. Padmamma are his parents. His father was a Physical Education teacher. He has three brothers and all are engineers. His wife Shruthi is associated with social work and also looking after Padmashree Medicare Pvt Ltd. The couple has two children. Ashwathnarayan’s school education was done at Bangalore, Yeshwanthpu and Shimoga. Later he obtained M.B.B.S from Kasturba Medical College Mangalore, before he started medical practice. He was associated with student politics while he was a medical student and he has also served as the president of student’s union.

Soon after completing MBBS he became the president of Junior Doctor’s association, followed by Senate and Syndicate member of Rajiv Gandhi University and Health Sciences and Bangalore University. He entered mainstream politics in 2004 by joining the BJP. He also contested from Malleshwaram constituency for state assembly elections same year, but lost it. He joined state assembly for the first time in 2008, and has been serving as MLA since then.
