Anupama Kundoo Biography 
Anupama Kundoo is an internationally recognized and award winning architect who started practising since year 1990. She is best known for designing echo friendly houses, socio-economically beneficial and less impact on environment and ecology. She taught at many Indian and foreign educational institutions such as the Technical University, Berlin, Darmstadt in Hesse, University of Queensland, Parsons The New School for Design, New York etc. she started her own architecture firm called Anupama Kundoo Architects, and is one the leading architects at the present times. She has authored one book related to architecture, and has published numerous research papers.
Anupama Kundoo was born in Pune, Maharashtra in 1967. Her early education was completed in Mumbai, and she completed architecture studies (graduation) from the Sir J. J. College of Architecture, University of Bombay in 1989. She received Vastu Shilpa Foundation Fellowship in 1996 for her thesis on "Urban Eco-Community: Design and Analysis for Sustainability", and also earned a doctoral degree from Technical University of Berlin in 2008. She is into designing field soon after she completed her architecture studies in Mumbai since 1990s, and has spent almost three decades in the field.
The veteran architect has extensively worked in India and owns more than 100 projects to her credit. She has also experimented with ideas such as eco-friendly mud houses to sustainable building technologies and infrastructure systems. Apart from working as an architect, she is continuing with her teaching as well as research works in the same field. Urban designs and planning projects are also included in her works and experiments. She currently serves as professor at UCJC Madrid and also serves as a visiting professor too.
