Amisha Sethi Biography

Amisha Sethi is an Indian author of English language. Her novel "It doesn't hurt to be nice" published in 2015 makes her a popular author. A book on rediscovering life, the story includes elements of comedy, drama and spirituality. She was honoured with “Young Women Rising Star” award at the world women leadership congress 2014. She is a professionally trained contemporary dancer. She performs contemporary, Salsa, Jazz and free style dance forms, and is also a certified Zumba and Yoga trainer. Professionally she is into marketing and business field.

 

Amisha Sethi hails from a Gujarati family with roots in Rajkot. She was born and brought up in Delhi, where her father runs a family business. Her mother is a homeopathy doctor. She completed her graduation from Delhi and also took MBA from Amity Business School in 2002. She currently resides in Bangalore, Karnataka. Before she turned a successful author, she was a trained dancer and performer, associated with different western dance forms and contemporary styles. She is also a yoga trainer. She currently serves as an executive scholar in marketing and sales management from Kellogg School of Management, USA.

 

Professionally she is into marketing field after completing her MBA degree, and has been associated with corporate sector for many years. Till now she has worked in different companies like Vancouver, BlackBerry etc before she joined Kellogg School of Management. She has won several recognitions in corporate sector. She was featured as the top 50 most talented brand leaders of India by India greatest/CMO council in 2012, and won Indira Marketing Excellence Award 2013. She authored her maiden book, "It doesn't hurt to be nice" and published in 2015.
