Healthy Beetroot

 

Beetroot is very healthy for us. It helps us in solving many health problems. Most of us use Beetroot in preparing different dishes and juice. So let us discuss few recipes with beetroot.

Beetroot Lassi

Ingredients

Beetroot -1

Sugar – 1 spoon

Curd – 1 cup

Black salt – 1 Pinch

Cumin powder – ¼ tea spoon

Cardamom Powder – 1 Pinch

Kaju – 2

Honey – According to taste

Pineapple chop – few pieces

Method of preparation

Peel the skin of Beetroot and cut into pieces. Now boil these Beetroot pieces finely in water. Then remove water and keep the boiled Beetroot pieces aside. Smash them finely. Now take curd, sugar, black salt, cumin powder, cardamom powder, salt in a bowl and mix them thoroughly. Now add this smashed beetroot in this mixture. Mix finely and place it in the refrigerator. Therefore, Beetroot Lassi is ready and you can serve it in glasses and garnish with Kaju, honey, pineapple chop.

Beetroot Kheer

Ingredients

Beetroot – 1

Sugar – 1 Cup

Milk – 4 cups

Kaju – 10

Cardamom powder – ½ tea spoon

Ghee – 2 teaspoons

Method of preparation

Remove the skin of the Beetroot and finely wash it with water. Then chop into pieces. Now boil them using cooker. Then grind these boiled pieces using Beetroot until they form a paste form. Now place a small bowl on the stove and add ghee in it. Then fry Kaju in it. Now place a thick bowl on the other side of the stove and boil milk in it. Then add sugar while milk is boiling. Stir finely until the sugar gets dissolved in milk. Now add the beetroot paste in it and let the mixture get cook. Then add cardamom powder. Now off the flame. Add ghee and garnish the mixture with kaju. Therefore, Beetroot kheer is ready.

Beetroot Halwa

Ingredients

Beetroot – ½ kg (finely grated)

Milk – ½ liter

Kova – 100 grams

Sugar – according to taste

Poppy seeds – 2 tea spoons

Pista and badam – as you wish

Method of preparation

Boil the milk in a pan and then add grated Beetroot in it. Keep stirring until the Beetroot gets cooked well and the milk gets evaporated. Then add kova and sugar in it. Let this mixture cook finely. When the sugars dissolve completely then add poppy seeds in it. Now add ghee, pista and badam in it. Now off the flame. Therefore, Beetroot Kheer is ready.
