Every person loves to spend some time in some leisure activity. There are a lot of people around us who are interested in gardening. Greenery is every one’s favourite and it is really pleasing to our eyes too. So, through this article let me provide you a few things to arrange a garden.

Garden is incomplete without a few flowering plants and cheering green trees. If a pond or stream with a few fishes, lilies and lotus is also present it gives a closeness to nature with nature’s foot prints. Before you start gardening you should know the seasons and should have a moderate idea on the characteristics of plants used in your garden. If you have enough time, you can plant a lot of flowers that need water every day. If not, choose a few hibiscus and cactus for your garden.

Another idea is to provide a green lawn in your courtyard – a green carpet for you to walk or sit. It beautifies a green garden to a perfect look. You can also place a cage for love birds of different colors. Their chirping voices will give a natural or ‘forest’ nature to your garden, if a small stream or pond is also present.

Now a small note on artificial water body. In old traditional homes of joint families, ponds are a part of their culture and tradition. If such a pond is present in your courtyard, you can retain it. Otherwise you can construct an artificial one. Shapes commonly used are hexagon, rectangle, oval etc. Amoeba is a wonderful shape and is the latest trend. You can add a few fishes to it. Gold fish are colourful and beautiful. Guppies kill mosquito larvae thus clearing your pond. You can add a few more varieties as well.

Provide a small sitting arrangement near your pond and you can plant a few flowering plants by the pond side. Cover it with metallic grid for safety measures, if needed. Gardening is a nice hobby giving a lot of freshness and positive thoughts to your mind. Even while your mind is filled with tensions and worries, you forget everything when you see a plant blossomed for the first time! Am I not right?
