1. If you want to go shopping in Goa, then there are lots of things to buy from wines to cashew nuts, furniture, brassware, handicrafts, crochets, etc. Goa is famous for its traditional lacquer ware toys. Hand painted ceramics and antique styled furniture are the unique products of Goa that everyone would love to buy.
2. Relaxing at the beaches of Goa is the most prominent activity that every tourist would love to do here. There are beach beds available on hourly rent. The 70 kilometer long unbroken coastline is sure to entertain you.
3. Spending time at discos and pubs is the favorite activity of youngsters visiting Goa.
4. Anjuna flea market is one of the places to be checked out while spending your days at Goa.
5. There are some good libraries in the city namely Central Library in Institute Menezes Bragana at Panjim, Mapusa’s Athaide Library, Xavier Center of Historical Research at Alto Porvorim, Amchem Diaz and Goa University Library. Spend some time to visit at least one of them.
6. Diving is one of the enjoyable things to do in Goa. However this is not advisable during monsoon seasons. There are some diving sites near Grande Island and these are 12 to 16 meters deep. These places are rich in wild life and the reef fish and hard and soft coral are found in abundance.
7. Morjim, Arambol and Aswem beaches in North Goa are good places for kite surfing. Kite surfing courses are conducted by some instructors in Morjim. The best season for trying this activity is from January to March.
8. Paragliding is one of the thrilling adventures sports that you might want to do when you are at Goa. Arambol Beach in North Goa is the best place for paragliders.
9. If you are interested in Jet Skiing then Goa is one of the places that offer them at cheaper rates. You need to go to Anjuna Beach or Baga Beach to try this sport. You can find some vendors offering them and if you go as a group you can make a good bargain.
10. Butterfly Conservatory of Goa is located at Ponda and the time of visit is from morning 9 till evening 3.30. Here you can watch free flying butterflies which will be a real visual treat. You can also watch a unique rain water harvesting experiment.
11. Volunteering is one of the things to do in Goa for those who are service minded and want to spend time useful to others. There are orphanages, nature centers, animals’ rescues and charity shops where you can extend your services.
