Sunidhi Chauhan Biography 
Sunidhi Chauhan’s name is always taken among the top singers of Bollywood at present and in the 15 years or so, she has given significant contributions to Bollywood music. She is the strong contender of the top female voice of the industry along with Shreya Goshal. She raise to fame by winning ‘Mere Aawaaz Suno’ singing talent show of Doordarshan in 1996 at a comparatively younger age of 16 where she beat more than 50 female senior contestants. Till now she has been nominated in Filmfare for 14 times, though she was able to win it twice for the Beedi song of Omkara in the year 2007 and ‘Sheila ki jawani’ of Tees maar khan in the year 2011. Her name is always taken with great respect and she is a diehard fan of Lata Mangeshkar, whom she sees as her inspiration. She displays her versatility while singing Lata’s songs in live concerts and television programs. She has sung a few hit songs of Pakistani, Punjabi, Kannada and Tamil.
After the success of first singing talent of Doordarshan, the first of this kind, she did an album ‘Aira Ghaira Nathu Khair’ with HMV as the prize of this contest. She debut Bollywood singing for Urmila in the movie Ram Gopal Varma’s Mast. Tere siva kuch yaad nahi and Ruki ruki se zindagi were chartbusters of 1999. Next year, again she repeated the same magic with songs of another Ram Gopal Varma featuring Urmila. Aiyo aiyo rama, Do pyaar karne wale, Jaan kaha hai tu and Pehle baar of Junglee placed her among the top names of playback singers. But according to her, her first romantic song is ‘Meri zindagi mein’ of Ajnabi in 2001. At the age of 19, she rendered her voice to more than 350 songs in Bollywood, indeed a unique achievement. After that it was her time and she began to deliver hits after hits and now also, among the top voices of Bollywood. She has done a music video ‘Pehla Nasha’.
