Ramya Behara Biography

Ramya Behara is a young and budding singer of Telugu cine industry. She has also sung for other regional films including Hindi. She sang the popular Bollywood track - Main Tujhse Pyaar Nahin Karti for Akshay Kumar starrer Baby. Ramya shot to fame after rendering her voice for the popular ‘Dheevara’ track of Telugu mega blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), aside Aditya. She also sang the Tamil version of the same duet ‘Dheerane’ with the same singer. It’s one of the top romantic tracks of the year 2015. Coffee song (Geethanjali), Soodu Soodu (Loukyam), Choolenge asama (Temper) and Osi prema rakshasi (Kotha Janta) are her other popular Telugu tracks.

 

She was born on 1 February 1994 in Narasaraopet of Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh. During childhood days she never dreamt to become a playback singer, though she loved humming songs. Her parents noticed her talents at a younger age and motivated her too. Initially she was not interested in music. She was forced to join Little Musicians Academy at Hyderabad, where she received training in music from many leading teachers. She was initiated to Carnatic music by Komanduri Ramachary. Since then she actively participated in stage shows as well as singing competitions and got recognized.

 

She appeared for a singing reality show - Super Singer - Season 4 for MAA TV, where she was one among the finalists. This show gave her enough exposure and she soon received many film offers. Her talent has been quite prompted by M. M. Keeravani and Komanduri Ramachary, who gave her many memorable film songs as well. The chartbuster song - ‘Dheevara’/‘Dheerane’ of Baahubali was given by M. M. Keeravani. She was introduced to playback singing by same director, who gave her a few lines for the movie, Vengamamba, followed by Rajanna.
