Sugi Sivam Biography

Sugi Sivam, also pronounced as Suki Sivam is a Tamil scholar, writer and orator. He hosts a TV show Indha naal iniya naal on Sun TV and also delivers motivational speeches in public as well as for TV shows. His religious and philosophical speeches too are famous among Tamil people. Authored several motivational books in Tamil, Vaazhthal Oru Kalai is most famous. He is also a recipient of Kalaimamani award by Tamil Nadu state government. He has been bestowed the prestigious titles - Sollin Selver, Sendhamizh Thendral, Soll Vendhar Muthamil Peraringar etc.  Many of his motivational and religious speeches have been released as videos too.

He is the son of the eminent writer couple, T.N. Suki Subramaniam and Gomathi Subramaniam. He was born in Chennai on August 27, 1954. His father too is a recipient of prestigious Kalaimamani award. During his formative years Sugi Sivam has been influenced by many great orators like Thirumuruga Kripananda Variyaar, Thavathiru Kundrakudi Adigalaar, Editor K. V. Jagannathan, Professor R. Radha Krishnan and Chidambaram Swaminathan who were his mentors too.

He holds graduation in two subjects - Economics and Law from the University of Madras. Over the years he has earned the name of an orator with par excellence and he also receives global invitation to attend many cultural events by Tamil people across the world. As an orator, he is into this field for more than three decades and earned name and fame across the world among Tamil speaking people. Apart from several published books and videos, he also writes columns in leading Tamil magazines. He is also known by the title, Sol Vendher’ which literally means ‘The King of Words’! His most popular book, Vaazhthal Oru Kalai deals with the subject of how to lead a better life, without giving up one’s own ideologies and principles.
