Shweta Kawatra Biography

Shweta Kawatra is a well-established and popular actress of Hindi mini screen. She has also portrayed a few character roles in Bollywood films. As a television actress she is best known for portraying the role of Pallavi Agarwal in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii and as Nivedita in Kumkum, two most popular daily soaps of Ekta Kapoor. She has also been featured in many episodes of CID, the popular detective series on Sony Television. She is married to popular television actor, Manav Gohil. She has also played a pivot role of a Psychiatrist in the Bollywood film, Murder 2 starring Emraan Hashmi.

 

She was born in 1976 in Delhi. She got her first break to television through Ekta Kapoor's television series in the 2000s. She was first seen in Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii as Pallavi Bhandari followed by Kkusum as Esha Chopra and Kumkum as Nivedita. She met her future husband Manav Gohil on the sets of the famous daily soap Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. They became good friends that time. They worked together for the second time in Kkusum. By that time their bonding grew strong and later it resulted in their marriage. They got married in 2004, three and a half years after their courtship. A child was born to them eight years after their marriage in 2012.

 

The couple has participated in the reality dance show - Nach Baliye Season 2 where Manav was awarded best dancer by Saroj Khan. But the Nach Baliye couple came under the radar of SMS scam for purchasing 200 pre-paid SIM cards and distributing them among their friends. Kawatra practises Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism and she is also a member of the Soka Gakkai. She was last seen as Bhayankar Pari in Baal Veer.
